Freddie King - The Complete King/Federal Singles

I always say that Freddie is one of the Three Kings of the Blues, along with B.B. and Albert. His style is unique but not dissimilar to the other two. He mixes soul with the blues, adds horns and melodies and mixes up the tempos and rhythms and adds hooks in the guitar lines that no one else uses.

This collection compiles the singles he did for the King and Federal labels and they offer some of his best work - "Hideaway", "San-Ho-Zay", "I'm Tore Down" and tons more. There are instrumentals, duets with a terrific female singer, Lula Reed, and even a couple of Christmas numbers!

Everything here is stellar - an excellent compilation of some of the man's best work!
