The Art of Kepi - The Rise of Kepiland 2000-2012
Along with his continuing musical adventures, Kepi is making a name for himself as an outsider pop artist, which is more lucrative in its own way - selling one painting is equal to innumerable "streams" or single song purchases or even CD or album sales. His art is childlike - not dissimilar from his tunes - but cute and as catchy as his melodies!
This book contains 500 (!!) of his paintings along with a nice introduction to Kepi by Jerry Hormone with some early pics of a long-haired Kepi (who, apparently, appears in Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" video, which I will have to watch again now!), pre-Berry Pickers, much less pre-Groovie Ghoulies!
It's a nicely done, high quality printing, limited to 1500, with Kepi's revolving cast of characters doing his best to create "Bright and Simple Art for a Dark and Complicated World". Dig it!
