You should know by now that I would never denigrate Mike and Anya Stax's work on the terrific Ugly Things magazine, but this issue is a particularly strong one! They're always great, but this goes above'n'beyond -  you get an incredibly detailed overview of the pre-Velvet work of Lou Reed's, including the fateful meeting with John Cale, my old pal Dave Arnson interviews Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna), there's part one of a fine overview on Detroit's Dogs with lots of history on the High Energy scene there as well as their time spent in the early punk scenes in NYC, LA and England, an interview with Colin Blunstone and many other fab articles, as well as more reviews than you can digest, including a super complimentary review of the new Unclaimed Primordial Ooze reissue - thanks Mike!

I saw it every quarter - it's Ugly Things, you know it's gonna be good - go get it!
